Well the trout fishing and smallmouth bass fishing has just been great. We have been nymph and dry fly fishing for the trout on the Watauga River. Blue winged olives have been the choice and the trout eat them without question when a hatch is coming off. Nymphs have
been the way to go when the dry fly bite slows due to the fact that most of a trouts diet is taken sub-surface.
We have had a fantastic smallmouth season. Poppers and streamers will turn the eye of the bronze back. This is a great trip to take if you have been on the trout trips several times and want an alternative. It is quite the fight. Be sure to check out the new pictures on the website. |
