Hello to all and Merry Christmas. Fly fishing in Tennessee has been great. Thank you to all the great folks who fished with me this year and made my days nice with great company. The fishing this past fall was really good on the South Holston River and especially the float trips on the Watauga
River. Lots of blue winged olives and midges with egg patterns were the bugs of choice. I used a variety of mayfly nymphs and zebra midges in 18s and 20s. You could throw a parachute adams in a 20 when surface activity was strong and have great success. Winter fishing into early spring is a great time to fish and not see any crowds. I have already started booking days in March and April so give me a call or email if you had any date(s) in mind for the spring. Be sure to check out the latest pics of just a few of the fish we caught. I also went on a red fishing trip this fall with a buddy of mine who does some guiding in Charleston and posted those pics. Thank you and have a Happy Holidays. |
