FISHING REPORT UPDATE...................July-August, 2004

Hello everyone,
Well the fishing is awesome right now and will get even better as September and October roll around. The hatches are picking up on the trophy section of the Watauga River which consist of blue winged olives (size 22), tan caddis (size 16-18) and crane flies (size 22-24). The South Holston River is fishing great and will year round. The Sulphurs (size 16-18), blue winged olives (size 22) and crane flies (size 22-24) are the bugs that get the fish looking. The small mouth bass on the New River are in the deeper runs eating Woolly Buggers and Big Soft Hackles. We are catching the smallmouth bass towards the evenings on poppers. Make sure you go and check out the new pictures for July and August. We will talk to ya later.

Thanks,
Evan Dowdy
