FISHING REPORT UPDATE...................March---April, 2004

Hello Everyone,
Figured it was time for an update on the river conditions and hatches for May and June. The water levels are perfect for fishing right now and the hatches are in full effect. When fishing in May, expect to see green caddis(size 16-18 green soft hackle nymph and no hackle green elk hair caddis), little cinnamon caddis(size 20 cinnamon brown soft hackle nymph and cinnamon no hackle elk hair caddis), Quill Gordons(size 14-16 greyish-brown soft hackle nymph or pheasant tail nymph and parachute adams), Hendricksons(size 14-16 greyish-brown soft hackle nymph or pheasant tail nymph and parachute adams) and midges(size 26 greyish-olive midge pupae). Towards the latter part of May and into June expect to encounter Sulphurs(size 14-16 tannish soft hackle nymph or pheasant tail and parachute sulfur), tan caddis(size 16-18 tannish-brown soft hackle and tan no hackle elk hair caddis), crane fly(size 22-24 tannish-brown soft hackle), midge(size 26 tannish-brown midge pupae) and start trying some terrestrials(ants, beetles, crickets, etc.). I will be giving updates every two months now and check out the new pictures for March and April. Trips are booking up, so give me call if you had a date in mind. Look forward to fishing with ya.

Thanks,
Evan Dowdy
